sign in Castries Market in the Caribbean island of St. Lucia. I wrote about this market HERE. Of note is that this market made National Geographic's "World's Best Top Ten Food Markets" list at #3!
more Castries Market
This bear sign is in Glacier National Park in the US. I saw 13 bears on my last trip here, some of them fairly close.
I'm including this just because I like the photo and this path. This walking/bike trail is 75 miles long and goes through 5 counties and 11 cities/towns. There are a number of connector trails and more are planned. It's not far away from where I live. The slippery bridges have now been paved over and so are much safer.

I love signs! That's interesting about the Castries Market and the third sign is hilarious ;-)
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed this post. I like bears. But I wouldn't like to meet one face to face.
ReplyDeleteBears.... Bears in multiples....ummmm....no...no..not going to go there.
ReplyDeleteLoved the bear proof sign. Saw a video on youtube of a bear that dines every night at a German restaurant...he pulls the bins out into the street...dumpster dives in each one and then goes on his way. Too wonderful!! Love the sign for no parking too! Great S post!!!
Awesome collection of photos! I love finding interesting details in everyday life.
ReplyDeleteGreat signs! The one about the grisly vs black bear prints is pretty useful - I learned something from your photo!
ReplyDeleteHope everyone follows the signs at Castries Market!!
ReplyDeleteHa! Not too sure I'd like to live in that last town.... LOL!
Love the "No Spitting" one ... I wonder if I can hang it in my house as a reminder to my boys??
ReplyDeleteDefinitely a superb collection of signs, great pictures!
ReplyDeletelovely collection of signs! I especially like the "no spitting" one!
ReplyDeleteWonderful post for S ~ great shots of fun signs ~ carol ^_^
ReplyDeleteLove love the red, white and blue picket fence.
ReplyDeletevery funny ...I love those humorous signs sometimes you see .... bicycle is my fav!
ReplyDeleteCool collection! That hunters know your bears bit; you're not shooting them, are you???
ReplyDeleteonly with a camera!! and that's IF I see them!
Deletehaha - I love signs! I remember a few signs from my travels in Europe that were *sort of* translated into English. LOL Great collection of photographs!
ReplyDeleteFun idea for the letter S! The bear signs are both great. The first one especially amused me.
ReplyDeleteI think I'd be afraid, seeing all those bear signs! Cute slippery when wet sign. {:-D
ReplyDeleteSigns can be usful and sometimes confusing quite often they are funny
ReplyDeletePretty bad when you have to remind people with signs not to spit or pee.....
ReplyDeleteFun to see the signs from various places! And hopefully the no spitting and no peeing ones are followed!
ReplyDeleteBlessings & Aloha!
I love different signs. Native Caribbeans say it like it is.
ReplyDeleteYour signs are full of character! Thanks for visiting my post♥ Happy weekend♫
ReplyDeleteI met a bear once that came within 10 feet of me. Thankfully, it wasn't too hungry. Once was enough for my lifetime! The 75 mile trail looks enchanting.
ReplyDeletehahaha ! I could use the first one but not for bears but for dogs ! Fortunately I have never seen people spitting here. Do not piss is a sign for some cats ! (not mine of course, they are well educated)
ReplyDeleteLOL! I like the 'no spitting' sign! I wish they placed more of them for people to see. And when I say 'people', I mostly mean men... :( blah!!
ReplyDeletexo Catherine
whoa .... I don't think I would like to run into a bear close up!
ReplyDeleteThey sure have some silly signs posted... That one of the path is super cool - it reminds me of the saying, "Every journey starts with a single step."
ReplyDeleteSpectacular post for the letter "S"!
You always find something special for your posts - splendid job!
