wildflowers in yellow

beautiful yellow wildflowers line the roadway near Zion National Park. 
(off St Rt 9, it's called Kolab Terrace Road and goes in and out of Zion--mostly out)  I believe these flowers are goldenrod.  See the gambel oak on the right side of the photo?  This is a "drive-by-shooting," taken while riding in a car.

    Such beautiful wild flowers! I love them! I think I may have told you, but I lived in Salt Lake City many years ago. It's a beautiful state and your lovely photos capture it perfectly. Enjoy your day!

    Gorgeous photo for a drive-by! I think these are goldenrod too (there are so many different kinds). We have some in our back yard right now - and they have actually planted them all over campus because they are trying to use native plants for landscaping.

    The wild goldenrod by the road is beautiful! It's an important butterfly plant for migrating butterflies, so I'm glad to see it there.
