INduCedMEtaMoRphOsis graced me with this most wonderful award! This has truly been the most fun of blogging--meeting and sharing with diverse others from all over the world! Thanks so much for this award!

Here are the rules:

These blogs are exceedingly charming. These kind bloggers aim to find and be friends. They are not interested in self-aggrandizement. Our hope is that when the ribbons of these prizes are cut, even more friendships are propagated. Please give more attention to these writers. Deliver this award to eight bloggers who must choose eight more and include this cleverly-written text into the body of their award.

And here they are:

Nature With Me

Sophism Press

Gardens of a Golden Afternoon

Dorset Hill Beads

Savon Shoppe

The Painted Nest

Just Something I Made

5 precious things

.....and all the rest , know that I so appreciate each and every one of you and enjoy your blogs, too!

AlpHA of INduCedMEtaMoRphOsis and Push the Button Alpha received this award from Shania. Here is some of what Shania said about this award: "I would like to pass on this award to exceptional human beings whose blogs have taught and inspired me in more than one way. Somehow I feel a close relationship with these individuals, a relationship that goes beyond the borders..."
(Why, o, why are the shops above in different colors and sizes? I truly do not know.)

inspirations

from blogs I read this morning when I couldn't sleep.
Dorset Hill Beads Thoughts for Tuesday
Squirrel Queen A Very Beautiful Thought
and A Thought for Your Day

and one that made me laugh:
Nico designs A bed of flowers

wistful:
Southern Charm Quilts
May Blog Carnival a day at the beach (long ago)
Sew Inspiring
Silhoutte

a curiosity:
TiLT's Creations
Wordless Wednesday

I got a new computer and it has been installed finally, but I am waiting to receive a part before I will be able to access my files. sigh. Also, my mother has not been well at all this year, and looking after her has consumed me. Honestly, I don't know if she will get better. And she had a bad day yesterday and today. So I know I am behind on all my bloggy postings, taggings, and etc. The above posts (along with others I read) brought some joy back in my heart.

a birthday memory

Here I am, 2 years old, standing in front of the chair my Grandma gave me for my birthday. I remember receiving that gift! It was way up high on our round oak dining table. I was looking up at it from below. I was mesmerized. This was a special gift, for my Grandma died when I was 4 and I have only a few memories of her. I had that chair for a long, long time. So here I am, a 2 year old in big girl pants (!), clutching my stuffed animals. (I always loved stuffed animals.) Note those cool old-fashioned baby shoes. (Please ignor the lack of a fancy dress, or even, ahem, just a shirt.)
This is for the etsy bloggers street team carnival!

knitted village

The model of Mersham, near Ashford, has been knitted by members of the village's 40-strong Afternoon Club over the past 23 years.
Lost Mitten has a post on this and I just had to share. Go to her blog post and get a link to a short video of the village. See some of the ladies and a few of the bulidings AND a cricket field complete with players onOtter Wise. The village has been on display over the years to raise money for city hall. But as of May 16, it is being sold piece by piece.
included in the village display are: (all knitted!) cars, houses, school, school bus, people, church, shops, pub, gardens, wheelie bins, outdoor loos, gas tanks, pigs, red telephone box....

a bithday wish!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY to a bloggy friend!
A Birthday Poem
Just past dawn, the sun stands
with its heavy red head
in a black stanchion of trees,
waiting for someone to come
with his bucket
for the foamy white light,
and then a long day in the pasture.
I too spend my days grazing,
feasting on every green moment
till darkness calls,
and with the others
I walk away into the night,
swinging the little tin bell
of my name.
~Ted Kooser

Happy Birthday to AlpHa! Go find her blogs-- Push the button Alpha and INducCed MEtaMoRphOsis and wish her a happy birthday!

Neno's Award

The aim of
NENO'S AWARD is
1) a dedication for those who love blogging and love to encourage friendships through blogging.

2) to seek the reasons why we all love blogging.

This stellar award was presented to me by AlpHa Buttonpusher at INduCed MEtaMoRphOsis. See her post about the award here. And go check out her other blog Push the Button Alpha. Her posts are just incredible. See for yourself! (NOTE: Sqirrel Queen gave AlpHa this award. And that just re-iterates why blogging is rewarding--new discoveries around every bloggy bend.)
REASON: When I started blogging , I had no idea it would lead down such wonderful paths. Sharing a bit of my world is such fun, but interacting with others is a joy. I have met some amazing people, read funny and sad stories, and been inspired through blogland. Here are just a few...
I present this award to:

Dorset Hill Beads (Her Themes For Thursday are awesome!)

Nature With Me

Gardens of a Golden Afternoon a blog I referred to in my post here Hermes writes other wonderful blogs, but you will have to go to this one to find out.

Sharing is the key word here, and the above blogs do just that! They are a joy to read. I am itching to write something about each one, but I will leave the joy of discovery to you.

When you receive this award~
1) Put the award in one post as soon as you receive it, explaining the aim of the award.
2) Don't forget to mention the person who gives you the award.
3) Answer the award's question by writing the reason why you love blogging.
4) Tag and distribute the award to as many people as you like.
5) Don't forget to notify the award receivers and put their links in your post.
(or make up your own rules!)

(NOTE: html was NOT being cooperative, so the above blogs are in different colors & sizes. Even the placement is crazy--not at all what it looks like as I sit here composing this. sigh....)
