somewhere in Utah...
in a slot canyon looking up
A stream runs through it.
Yes, we did climb up here. (But this is not us.) a short, but tricky ascent. We are wearing hiking sandals and the water is oh so cold!
Here we are, the four of us. (I'm on the right.)
beautiful Kanarra Creek just before arriving at the slot canyon
NOTE: Kanarra Creek runs through a beautiful canyon west of the northern part of Zion National Park.

ReplyDeleteGorgeous photos! and what an amazing place to hike!! I would love this
ReplyDeleteI was in Zion Nat. Park too, to paint this summer:) Luckily it was not that narrow on the spot I stood!
ReplyDeleteCool spot! It is certainly narrow. THe only time I've been to Utah was a brief layover in the Salt Lake City airport in approximately 1990.
ReplyDeleteNow, I'm jealous! I don't like hiking but this place looks so cool that made me wanted to hike and climb! Stunning photos, too.
ReplyDeleteMy goodness! Climbing that would be a very good work out! :)

ReplyDeleteI've not hiked much in this type of terrain, but it looks very interesting. Your photos are awesome! Love the abstract lines of the rock formations!
ReplyDeleteWow.
ReplyDeleteThese narrow canyons are quite nifty!
I would like to explore these but I wonder if they might give me claustrophobia!
Arizona Highways Magazines often has really striking pictures showcasing this neat natural wonder.
