St Maarten (Cupecoy)

Aaahh...Cupecoy...so beautiful....a small, semi-secluded beach flanked with gorgeous sandstone cliffs. This photo was taken at the very beginning of sunset. The lovely wildness of this beach is now being spoiled by the building of high rises on the cliffs above. However this is a most lovely setting for sunset-watching.

  1. I would really like to take closer look at those cliffs. I am a soil scientist, so I think they are fascinating - however, I would settle for being there :). Very sorry to hear about the high-rises though.

  2. Awesome, such a beautiful place. That is really too bad about the high rises, it will be a pity to spoil that view.

  3. Love the beach! I miss the quiet seaside beach nap I had on Catalina Island with my hubby, many years ago. This picture makes me want to go there again!
