The beauty and majesty of Glacier National Park, Montana, USA100 years ago on May 10, 1910, Glacier became the United State's 10th national park. Located in the Northern Rocky Mountains, native Americans called Glacier the "backbone of the world." Encompassing more than a million acres, it is home to a great diversity of animals and plants. In 1932, Glacier with Canada's Waterton Lakes National Park, became designated as Waterton-Glacier International Peace Park. Together, in 1995, they were recognized as a World Heritage Site.
