oooo....an award!

Kreativ Blogger Award
I have been presented with this award by Squirrel Queen. Her blog is beautiful with lovely photography and inspiring quotes. I found her wonderful blog through AlpHa Buttonpusher. And that's one of the joys of blogging--meeting new bloggy friends. Thank you Squirrel Queen (who loves flowers, photography, cats, and green)! (Check out this particular post and then just peruse her blog. SQ has 2 other blogs, so be sure to look to the right under the kitty.)

Here are the FUN STEPS of this Award:
(1) Thank the person who nominated you for this award.

(2) Copy the logo and place it on your blog.

(3) Link to the person who nominated you for this award.

(4) Name 8 things about yourself that people might find interesting.

(5) Nominate 8 Kreativ Bloggers.

(6) Post links to the 8 blogs you nominate.

(7) Leave a comment on each of the blogs, letting them know they have been nominated.

8 things about me people might find interesting:

1. I love photographing. Right now I am enthralled with the inside centers of flowers.

2. I would love to hike to the bottom of the Grand Canyon (and back up, of course!)

3. I enjoy riding my road bike and am working on getting stronger.

4. I love old photographs of people.

5. I teach tie dye classes.

6. I have been in love with cats since I was very small. My first cat was named Chocolate. I have 2 cats now-Oliver and Earnest
.
7. I love seeing how sunlight filters through leaves.
8. With a friend, we had a camp for kids where we taught art, nature, movement, and music. (for 3 summers at a park)

a bithday wish!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY to a bloggy friend!
A Birthday Poem
Just past dawn, the sun stands
with its heavy red head
in a black stanchion of trees,
waiting for someone to come
with his bucket
for the foamy white light,
and then a long day in the pasture.
I too spend my days grazing,
feasting on every green moment
till darkness calls,
and with the others
I walk away into the night,
swinging the little tin bell
of my name.
~Ted Kooser

Happy Birthday to AlpHa! Go find her blogs-- Push the button Alpha and INducCed MEtaMoRphOsis and wish her a happy birthday!

Neno's Award

The aim of
NENO'S AWARD is
1) a dedication for those who love blogging and love to encourage friendships through blogging.

2) to seek the reasons why we all love blogging.

This stellar award was presented to me by AlpHa Buttonpusher at INduCed MEtaMoRphOsis. See her post about the award here. And go check out her other blog Push the Button Alpha. Her posts are just incredible. See for yourself! (NOTE: Sqirrel Queen gave AlpHa this award. And that just re-iterates why blogging is rewarding--new discoveries around every bloggy bend.)
REASON: When I started blogging , I had no idea it would lead down such wonderful paths. Sharing a bit of my world is such fun, but interacting with others is a joy. I have met some amazing people, read funny and sad stories, and been inspired through blogland. Here are just a few...
I present this award to:

Dorset Hill Beads (Her Themes For Thursday are awesome!)

Nature With Me

Gardens of a Golden Afternoon a blog I referred to in my post here Hermes writes other wonderful blogs, but you will have to go to this one to find out.

Sharing is the key word here, and the above blogs do just that! They are a joy to read. I am itching to write something about each one, but I will leave the joy of discovery to you.

When you receive this award~
1) Put the award in one post as soon as you receive it, explaining the aim of the award.
2) Don't forget to mention the person who gives you the award.
3) Answer the award's question by writing the reason why you love blogging.
4) Tag and distribute the award to as many people as you like.
5) Don't forget to notify the award receivers and put their links in your post.
(or make up your own rules!)

(NOTE: html was NOT being cooperative, so the above blogs are in different colors & sizes. Even the placement is crazy--not at all what it looks like as I sit here composing this. sigh....)
