a few random photos from my life this July...
A butterfly landed on her nose!  a visit to Krohn Conservatory for the butterfly exhibit:  lots of butterflies, lots of people, lots of fun!

Raindrops dot a spider's web and sparkle like jewels in the sun.

My husband and I visited friends and family in Indianapolis in early July.  We took our bikes and rode along the Indianapolis Cultural Trail, "a world-class urban bike and pedestrian path that connects neighborhoods, Cultural Districts and entertainment amenities, and serves as the downtown hub for the entire central Indiana greenway system."  Heading home eastward bound, the sunset behind us was glorious!

Purple People Bridge  Formerly a railroad bridge, the Purple People Bridge is now a pedestrian walkway connecting Cincinnati to Northern Kentucky.  My husband and I took a stroll along the Cincinnati Riverfront after watching the Reds win a game against the Mariners.

Oliver is sooo tired after playing with puff balls.  (Next project:  recovering the seats of my kitchen chairs.  Sometime in the past--and I'm NOT saying how long ago!--I had the chairs striped and then I refinished them.)

I dyed lots of new scrunchies (Some are still available in my etsy shop), chamois, and custom orders.

friends meeting for lunch!  I've taken lots of flora and fauna photos.  It's so fun to wander around my yard, camera in hand.

Alphabe-Thursday, hosted by Ms Jenny, is so much fun!  This week our letter is "J." Come visit others' submissions HERE and join in the fun!

  1. What amazing photos! The spider web with the raindrops is just brilliant! And the butterfly shot is so cool.
I know they're harmless and oh so pretty, I would have freaked out if it landed on my noes!

  2. Love the first photo

  3. Oh, wow, great photos! The first and second are probably my favorites. The last one's pretty cool, too! I love walking around familiar areas with my camera.

  4. Hi Ms. S.L.S. ~~ My favorites for July are Oliver (seems to be a nice laid back cat) and your Purple People Bridge (because I like pedestrian bridges over rivers).

  5. beautiful post ... photos are just luscious

  6. Wow to the first couple of shots! They are all fab!

  7. I loved the shot of the 'friends meeting for lunch'!

  8. Fantastic photos, Margaret!
The first one is amazing and funny :) I also love the photo of the bridge, the friends meeting for lunch and sweet Oliver!!

  9. that butterfly is huge! I don't think I've seen such a large one. great photos.

hope you have a sweet day.

  10. The butterfly capture is awesome, and the raindrop detail is fantastic. Of course I always love seeing Oliver, too. That sleeping pose is so sweet.

  11. You've had a BUSY month! Amazing photos. I especially like the butterfly photo.

  12. I love the spiderweb and raindrops picture! And I am in awe of your camera's capabilities. (And your skills!) I've been trying to get a shorter depth of field so pictures can be focused in the foreground and not in the background. I have been having trouble with getting the settings right!

  13. Butterfly on the nose has my vote for favorite. And of course, Oliver, is just the best. Being a cat lover, I can feel his vibes...or maybe I just need a nap. Great photos!

  14. Thanks for sharing these photo jewels with us!

    Your scrunchies are delicious!

And although I don't think I'd like a butterfly on my nose, personally, it was lovely to look at it on hers!

Thanks for just a lovely link for the letter "J".

  15. Lots of wonderful photos and July memories made! Love the butterfly and your daughter's smile.

Wow! You are not too far from where we live now that we are in Kentucky, in comparison to where we lived near Savannah, Georgia.

    Blessings & Aloha!
Jumping for Joy! I am finally catching up to some of my "J" visits! Hope you can pop on by my blog...

  16. There's the photo of the butterfly on the girl's nose. So fun! What a terrific place to visit.
