Malmok Beach, Aruba, Netherland Antilles

Malmok Beach

near Arashi Beach, Aruba (north of Malmok)

Eagle Beach in Aruba is one of the most beautiful beaches I have ever seen. The sand is powdery white, turning pinkish beige when wet.  The water is gorgeous liquid aqua, lighter or deeper in color depending on light and time of day.

along Queen's Highway in Bonaire.  There are numerous sites to shore snorkel or dive along this road.  (drive by shooting--see the wiper blade and the rectangular glare in the sky?)

Baby Beach, Aruba (southern end)

Oregon

Here are a few random photos from a trip to Oregon in the past...

hiking around a lake in Redmond or Three Sisters area

As we approach Crater Lake we can see smoke from fires in the distance.

Crater lake detail

Crater Lake is phenomenonally blue!  The blue light of sunlight can travel to great depths.  There it causes the electrons in water molecules to vibrate and re-radiate light in blue wavelengths. This amazing blue light that seems to glow is what we see.  Because of the fires and smoke in the area, the blue was not as vibrant.  I'm showing you 2 photos near the water's edge where the blue is pretty brilliant.

beautiful Oregon coast

(Oh blogger, you are messing with my photos again!  This last photo is weird, but I'm leaving it.  I hope you, my dear readers, get some sense of a lovely sunset.)

Oliver's Guide to Oases

Watch Oliver, optimistically oozing oodles of charm, as he offers us an official tour of his optimal oases!
He is so obviously cute.  No ogre, he.
Sunken in pillows, reveling in softness, no occasion is missed for such an obtainable delight.

No obstacle can block a sun puddle reverie!
Busily occupied on a warm lap, the world is safe to observe.
Open hearted Oliver cleverly assists in organizing paperwork in this basket, that is oh so cozy.
All the o'clocks are best for curling up in a favorite spot.
Onlooking is more enjoyable with a friend!
This is a fun weekly meme, under the direction of Jenny Matlock.  This week, our letter is "O."  Have some fun and come join HERE.  This is a great way to exercise your creative muscles AND you will be amazed at all the bloggy goodness to be found!
